La Datcha Cabo San Lucas is located on the Pacific coast at the southernmost tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. This place is a true haven for the fans of offshore fishing and water sports.

Home to Oleg Tinkov’s new datcha, Cabo San Lucas is a resort enjoying up to 350 sunny days a year, with the ocean temperature here varying from +22 °C in winter to +29 °C in summer.

Inspired by the traditional Mexican hacienda, the villa features brightly coloured and textured interiors, terraces, shady patios and fountains, as well as many locally crafted pieces of furniture and decor.

For over three millennia, South American houses have been decorated with foliate ornaments, and La Datcha Cabo San Lucas is no exception.

Boasting a beachfront location, La Datcha directly overlooks the ocean.

The property is made up of three interconnected buildings, two or three floors each. Most rooms are designed in the Mexican-American style, which comes through clearly in the kaleidoscope of textiles and mosaics, paintings, whimsical sculptures and woven decor.

The US- and European-made furniture provides the high level of comfort it is known for, while the unlikely marriage of Russian patterns with the Mexican ornaments works remarkably well highlighting the Russian roots of the datcha’s host.

It took me several years to bring the project in Cabo San Lucas to life. I was very lucky to buy this piece of coastal land, managing to build a house that embodies my vision of life and design.

Bedrooms

La Datcha Cabo San Lucas can only be booked as a whole for vacations with family, friends or partners.

The villa can easily accommodate up to 20 people as it has two large and eight regular-size bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, a toilet and a walk-in wardrobe.

The two large bedrooms each have an adjacent private terrace — one with a fireplace and the other with a swimming pool. The latter bedroom also features a study.

Cuisine

Mexican cuisine is all about thick sauce, corn tortillas and lime in nearly every dish. Pepper, with over 100 chilli varieties cultivated across the country, is yet another staple.

La Datcha Cabo San Lucas offers a selection of traditional Mexican dishes cooked under the supervision of world-class chefs. On top of that, guests can order the best specialities offered by other La Datcha properties, from Astrakhan to Courchevel.

Our chefs will do their best to suit your food preferences — please let us know in advance, and we will make the necessary arrangements.

It goes without saying that La Datcha Cabo San Lucas also houses part of Oleg Tinkov’s personal wine collection which he has been scrupulously hand-picking over the years.

Leisure at The Datcha

La Datcha Cabo San Lucas is designed in such a way as to make it easy for guests to combine sports and relaxation. The villa is fully equipped to cater to your every whim.

Shape up with the help of highly qualified trainers and brand new fitness equipment in the villa’s gym, and wind down in the spa area equipped with a sauna, Turkish bath and massage parlour. The spa also has what could probably be Mexico’s first ever snow room — a snow-filled retreat kept at a nippy −10 °C.

The ocean is just seconds away from the villa door. There are two sunbathing and relaxation zones with sun loungers, one on the beach and the other by the poolside on the large terrace in front of the main building. The water edge of the infinity pool visually merges with the ocean on the horizon. The Gulf of California is a breeding ground for blue and humpback whales. From November to April, witness these majestic animals’ mating rituals from the comfort of your La Datcha bedroom or pool. Sit by the isle of fire in this borderless expanse of blue, enjoy a glass of wine from Oleg Tinkov’s private collection, and feel the magic of La Datcha Cabo San Lucas as all your worries and cares melt away.

The villa has several dining areas that can accommodate all the guests. They may gather at a big table in the spacious hall, or have a fire-lit dinner in a special sitting area inside the pool.

Fishing and sports

Cabo San Lucas is the perfect spot for offshore fishing. The catch here is not limited to the standard tuna, snappers, sailfish or swordfish. This place is known as the «Marlin Capital of the World», and for good reason: it was here that in spring 2018 a US tourist caught a 3.5 metre long blue marlin weighing 440 kg! Specimens like this are quite rare, but you can always count on encountering 100–200 kg big marlins. La Datcha Cabo San Lucas will help you make your dream catch a reality — a high speed fishing boat and an experienced captain are on us. And so is the fishing gear — we will take care of everything, if you let us know in advance.

Cabo San Lucas is also an exceptional place for surfers: the swell here is always great thanks to the distinctive floor relief. The coast near the villa is known for an astonishing variety of wave types: sometimes the waves can reach three to four metres in height, while on other days the water is quiet and still. There is no such thing as a bad day for surfing on the Baja California Peninsula. May to October are best spent surfing in the Gulf of California (also known as the Sea of Cortez), while from November to April you’d be better off going for the Pacific. We will provide you with all the necessary equipment and a surfing instructor to give you a tour of the best spots around.

For nature lovers, we offer diving sessions in the national marine reserve.

Our guests can always set off for the city of Cabo San Lucas to enjoy dinners at seafood restaurants, unwind at night clubs, or take in the scenic views at the Arch, a distinctive arc-shaped rock formation also called the «Land’s End».

Cabo San Lucas is popular with the US celebrities and businessmen. George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry and other stars can be spotted in the vicinity of Oleg Tinkov’s villa during their vacations.

Time to book your stay

Villa «La Datcha» is booked entirely, for a minimum of 3 nights stay in regular periods and 7 nights minimum during major holidays.
Our Villa can comfortably accomodate a company of 20 guests.

Price is all-inclusive for food and beverages (except for alcohol).
It also includes a full staff at disposal composed by chefs, butlers, housekeepers, chauffeurs, concierge, fitness instructor and masseur.

Daily rates start from 19.000 $ + taxes per day.
