Designed by architect André Fu the hotel has extra high ceilings and interiors which blend traditional Thai elements with a contemporary twist. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and all the amenities you would expect of a 5* hotel of this calibre.

Location

Located mere steps from the Bangkok elevated train system for convenience, the hotel is still within minutes of a number of shopping precincts and tourist attractions. It occupies the first sixteen levels of its block with a champagne bar perfectly located on floor 57 and a superb steakhouse on floor 55.

Accommodation

The hotel offers a selection of 171 rooms and suites set inside a 60-storey multi-use complex (most of which will be private residences) with rooms starting from 50sqm and all featuring marble bathrooms with a separate bath and shower.

King Deluxe rooms are 50sqm in size and have floor-to-ceiling windows to maximise the superb views, a king-sized bed, marble bathroom with separate bath and shower, walk-in wardrobe, bar, espresso machine and safe. These rooms are also available at a higher level of the hotel for those with a head for heights and twin rooms are also available.

The One Bedroom Astoria Suite has a separate living room, study and powder room plus a dining table for four, spread over 100sqm. Together with floor-to-ceiling windows and a king-sized bed, this is the perfect suite for those who appreciate a little more living space.

A Two Bedroom Waldorf Suite offers 150sqm of living space and has a separate living room, dining table for six, study, powder room and two bedrooms. It does of course include luxury bathing products, a walk-in wardrobe, personal bar, espresso machine and safe.

The Two Bedroom Royal Suite has two bedrooms, a kitchen, dining space for eight, a screening/audio room, study and guest bathroom, all spread out over 300sqm of beautifully designed space.

Dining

Dining options are excellent and include the Front Room which offers a blend of Thai and Nordic cuisine using locally sourced Thai ingredients combined with Nordic cooking techniques, guaranteed to be a talking point. The Brasserie serves French-inspired brasserie-style dishes whilst the Waldorf’s signature Peacock Alley is the perfect location for afternoon tea and a glass of champagne or cocktail.

For grilled meats and seafoods we recommend the Bull & Bear which has a raw bar and incredible grill which can cook meat in a variety of delicious ways. The Loft is a New York-inspired bar which offers drinks in a really exotic and glamorous location, whilst the Champagne Bar on the 57th floor is the ideal venue for a glass of something chilled overlooking downtown Bangkok.
