Vistas Rui Silvestre

Vistas Rui Silvestre restaurant offers the complete gourmet experience – fresh, locally-sourced ingredients used to create gastronomic delights, a welcoming ambience, uncompromising levels of service and stunning views over rolling hills, to the Atlantic Ocean. Passionate champion of his region, Rui Silvestre personifies Portugal’s most beautiful values: a strong connection with the ocean, a fascination with journey and discovery, and also a love for his country, its identity and strong traditions. Rui’s aim is to perfectly preserve the authentic taste of the exceptional local ingredients, until the dish reaches your table.

The Grill

With an extensive menu on offer throughout the day, The Grill is the social hub of Monte Rei, where residents, guests and visitors can enjoy a leisurely lunch, afternoon tea or casual evening meal, inside the restaurant or on the terrace overlooking the North Course. Informal doesn’t have to mean unrefined. Taking high-quality ingredients, the kitchen turns them into magical dishes – every mouthful designed to inspire and savour. Executive Chef Rui Silvestre takes carefully sourced produce and creates simple fresh regional and international dishes that are bursting with flavour.

Veranda Restaurant

For dining in the sunshine, head over to Veranda, the poolside restaurant serving lunch and dinner – the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal or evening cocktail with family and friends. Serving a mix of Mediterranean and international cuisine, each meal is another opportunity for you to relish a favourite or try something new. Veranda also hosts a variety of popular seasonal events, including barbeques and themed cuisine evenings.

Having already established the North Course as the best course in Portugal, Monte Rei has begun construction on its South Course, another 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.  Cementing its place at the pinnacle of European golf resorts, Monte Rei will be one in a select list of clubs worldwide to have two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses.

North Course

This Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course has been challenging players of all abilities and handicaps from across the world since 2007. Set against the backdrop of the Serra do Caldeirão mountains to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south, the 7182 yard, par 72 course blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.

Wide forgiving fairways weave through mature trees and valleys, creating a unique test on every hole alongside spectacular vistas.

South Course

The second course at Monte Rei, The South, will also be a Jack Nicklaus Signature course. The design has been completed by the Nicklaus team, following Mr Nicklaus’ site visit, and construction will soon begin. Please keep an eye on our News Section for regular updates.
