Our Sales & Marketing Specialist, Jess Woods, flew out to Dubai for an incredible Mystery Dubai Stopover FAM Trip with SLC Representation, Emirates, Jumeirah and Kerzner International, spending three days doing every experience imaginable in Dubai before being whisked away to a mystery onward destination…
Beginning with a three-day unforgettable stopover in Dubai, the group experienced everything this buzzing city has to offer, from a helicopter ride over the iconic skyline and jet-skiing around the marina, to a cultural understanding lunch with local Emiratees at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU) and a tour of the Old Town, and even morning yoga in the Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis The Palm and a mixology class at One&Only One Za’abeel, overlooking the Burj Khalifa. Of course, a visit to the infamous Cloud 22 Rooftop Pool at Atlantis The Royal was also enjoyed!
Experiencing the 7-star Jumeirah Burj Al Arab (one of the most luxurious hotels in the world) as a guest for three nights was understandably a highlight for Jess: “From walking into the world-famous lobby and being escorted up the escalators to my very own duplex suite, to greeting my butler who delivered a glass of my favourite wine with crab canapés every evening, the level of service at this hotel is something that will be unmatched in my experience.”
However, what made this FAM trip especially extraordinary was the mystery of the onward destination! On the first night in Dubai, everyone was handed an envelope that contained their next stop – one of four of Emirates’ most popular routes: The Maldives, Mauritius, Bali and Cape Town.
“I couldn’t believe it when I opened my envelope to reveal that I would be heading to Jumeirah Olhahali Island in The Maldives! Having never been to the islands (but always admiring them online) AND getting to visit in total luxury with Jumeirah was a dream come true.”
“On arrival, we were whisked away to the resort’s heavenly private speed boat (with refreshments and bathrooms onboard) for the 55-minute journey to the island, where the staff were lined up waiting to welcome us with music, hibiscus tea cocktails and roses. Each of the 67 expansive villas (starting at 107 sqm) features a private rooftop terrace, infinity pool, and 24/7 butler service – and my overwater villa even provided special access to see the sharks, turtles and rays swimming beneath!”
“The four days spent on the island were unforgettable: we went on a boat trip to see pods of 15 dolphins swimming in the wild, did sunrise yoga in a glass room suspended above the ocean, learnt to cook traditional Maldivian dishes with the chef and dined in every delicious restaurant in the resort. Everyone on the island endeavoured to make our experience incredible, always greeting us by name everywhere we went and making sure our villas were spotless twice a day.”
Thank you SLC Representation for showing us just how much you can do on a 72-hour stopover in Dubai, the incredible level of luxury at Jumeirah and One&Only Resorts in the city and the huge selection of onward routes with Emirates.
